Welcome to Kindred Biblical Counseling
Biblical counseling is the process of helping real people with real problems using the Bible.
Our goal in counseling is to help you meet the challenges of life in a way that will please and honor the Lord Jesus Christ and to allow you to fully enjoy His plans for your life. It is our prayer that we can help you grow in the knowledge of and love for God.
If you are suffering or are feeling confused and lost in life, we would be privileged to walk alongside you to show you that God is near (Psalm 34:18) and that hope can be found in His gospel (Romans 5:3-5).

Make your request for free biblical counseling by filling out the form below.
The counseling ministry will contact you when your form is received. An initial appointment will be set up depending on the availability of our counselors.
How does biblical counseling work?
Our counseling ministry is founded upon the doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17) rather than the principles of secular psychology or psychiatry. We believe that God’s Word is sufficient for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
How much does biblical counseling cost?
Biblical counseling is a ministry of the church and is therefore free of charge.
Who is your counseling team?
Our counseling team consists of staff and non-staff members at Kindred Community Church who are accountable to elders at this church and have received in-depth training through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Each counselor has completed, or is in the process of completing, certification through ACBC.
How long is biblical counseling?
You should expect to commit to a total of 10 meetings with a counselor. The first counseling session lasts anywhere between 90 minutes to 2 hours. This provides sufficient time for the counselor to get to know you and your current situation. Subsequent counseling sessions will last about 60-75 minutes and typically occur once per week for about four weeks and then bi-weekly for another four sessions. You and your counselor will communicate regularly regarding your schedule. You will also be asked to commit to weekly homework assignments designated by your counselor.
How soon can I see a biblical counselor?
At times, the requests for counseling exceed the availability of our counselors. In this case, after we have received your intake form, we will call you to let you know that you will be placed on a waiting list. Otherwise, you may be able to see a biblical counselor as soon as we have received your intake form.
Where does counseling take place?
Counseling sessions take place at Kindred’s church offices, located at 100 S Chaparral Ct Suite 100, Anaheim, CA 92808. Counseling hours are Tuesday and Thursday, from 9am - 6:30pm (the last session for the evening is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm).
Do you counsel children?
At this time, we do not offer counseling for children ages 17 and younger.
Can I bring my child to my counseling sessions?
For safety reasons, childcare is not provided and children are not allowed to wait in the church office during counseling sessions. We ask that you please postpone counseling plans until you can make arrangements for childcare.
