Annual Counseling & Discipleship Training Conference (CDT)

As an ACBC Certified Training Center, Kindred Church hosts a three-weekend conference each year during which 30 hours of discipleship counseling training are offered.

This annual training usually includes multiple tracks, as follows:

  • Fundamentals Training Course in English or in Spanish

Over the three weekends, the sessions provided cover discipleship counseling basics, methods, and common issues. While you do not need to pursue certification with ACBC to benefit from this training, completion of all three weekends satisfies the 30-hour Fundamentals Training Course portion of Phase 1 in their certification process.

  • Advanced Counseling Topic or ACBC Specialization

Over the three weekends, the sessions provided cover a specific advanced counseling topic or the required topics related to one of the ACBC counseling specializations (Reconciliation, Marriage, or Addictions).

For the specializations, while you do not need to pursue certification with ACBC, completion of all three weekends satisfies the training hours portion of their process.

The annual training ordinarily happens on a Friday evening and Saturday during each of February, March, and April at the main campus of Kindred Community Church in Anaheim Hills, California.

If you are interested in attending the 2024 conference, please visit the conference webpage.
