What are Core Classes?

Core Classes help us grasp the scope of Christian doctrine, devotion, and discipleship. They blend the relaxed atmosphere of an adult Sunday school class with the scope of a Bible college or seminary education—offering the ideal way to deepen your knowledge.

And, as these classes are designed to help equip, train, and encourage you in your understanding and application of God’s Word, our teachers may recommend resources for you to purchase and provide recommended reading and/or other projects that you can work on outside your time in class. However, please note that you won't be required to purchase any items or complete any outside work to join and enjoy learning in these classes.

Classes meet every Sunday morning at 8:30am and 10:30am and at select times during the week.

What Courses are Offered?

There are multiple core courses offered on a rotating basis to allow the motivated learner to complete a Bible college/seminary overview of Christian doctrine, devotion, and discipleship. Currently, we offer classes in the following areas: Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Living, and Ministry Skills.

CORE Classes are currently located at our church offices at our Chaparral Campus. Directions between Kindred Main Campus & Kindred Offices

Old Testament Survey II

Taught by Victor Mejia

In his letter, James calls for Christians to not be content with a half-hearted, compromising faith. James deals with very practical issues, such as trials and suffering, temptation, poverty and wealth, the role of works, the taming of the tongue, and implications of a Christian worldview. It is a call to be a doer and not just a hearer of the Word of God. Studying this letter will help us get rid of worldliness while challenging us to demonstrate genuine Christian faith through our works.
