Baptism is a joyous celebration of the what Christ has accomplished in a believer’s life. The Bible says that “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Baptism pictures the believer’s death to the old life and rising again to live a new life in Christ - all through union with the risen Savior (Romans 6:1-4). It is no wonder that baptism is one of the most treasured and joyful occasions in the life of the church.
