Pastor Kevin Mohr
Kevin Mohr leads the College Group (18-22-year-olds) and Career Group (23-35-year-olds) at Kindred. He faithfully teaches the Word of God to these men and women on Sunday mornings as well as throughout the week via Bible study gatherings. Coordinating events for college students and young professionals is also part of the fun. Kevin and his wife, Meghan, who met at Kindred, have been involved in ministry together since they were married in 2012. Together they have two energetic little boys, Caedon and Colton.
Kevin came to Christ when he was 13 but the Lord really got ahold of his life at 23. He graduated from Biola University in 2000 and as his vertical relationship with the Lord grew, so did his desire to help horizontally in both the church and the community. He served as the high school pastor at another local church for almost five years and has been bi-vocational ever since he has been involved in ministry. Besides leading the college and career group at Kindred he is still employed as a special education teacher in the ABC Unified School District. Kevin loves being with people and has a passion to see individuals grow in the Word of God and learn to trust its promises. He himself also wants to continue to grow in the Word of God as he is currently finishing his MDIV at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
When he isn’t hanging out with people over coffee or a meal, you can find him at the gym trying to keep in shape. He is a true sports enthusiast and loves watching sports and is up for anything active ever since his glory days in college baseball. But he doesn’t just love sports, he loves running home to spend time with his wife and wrestle with his boys.
Romans 8:32 is Kevin’s favorite Scripture verse and has been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to him.
