Pastor Dan Nah
Dan Nah serves as Pastor of Care and Connections at Kindred since May 2015. He oversees new visitors, membership, small groups, and the counseling ministry at Kindred. Thanks to Dan’s leadership, people who come to Kindred receive a warm welcome, get plugged into Christian community, and hear reliable counsel from the Holy Scriptures. Dan and his wise wife, Minna, were married in 1996 and have four children, Jonathan, Benjamin, Katherine, and Mia.
Dan was saved in February 1992 when he was a sophomore at UCLA. Someone gave him a copy of The Gospel According to Jesus by John MacArthur. When he read the chapter dealing with the parable of the four soils, the Holy Spirit convicted him that he was not “good soil.” He repented of his sins and gave his life to Christ. Shortly thereafter, he became strongly convinced of his call to pastoral ministry and with the affirmation of my church, enrolled at The Master’s Seminary to be trained for ministry. Since that time, it has been his joy to serve in pastoral ministry in the local church for 20+ years. Because he has been saved by the grace of Christ, it is his privilege to serve for His glory. With not only a UCLA degree and a Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary under his belt as well as a certification from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), his only boast and greatest reward are knowing and showing Christ.
When he isn’t articulating the essentials of our faith or baptizing a new believer beaming with delight, you can find him running a few miles or strumming a few chords or plunking some piano keys. He also enjoys spending time with his five family members, especially walking the coastline with Minna. And he appreciates a good Korean BBQ any day of the week as well.
This inspired Scripture is a constant inspiration to Dan – “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” 1 Timothy 1:15 Amen!
