What is the Core Ministry Training program?
Building on 2 Timothy 2:2, the Core Ministry Training program is a 2-year training course for men and women designed to lay a biblical foundation for a lifetime of personal growth and ministry.
Who is this program designed for?
The program is for any serious student of Scripture who aspires to teach the word of God. It is designed to be a rigorous course of reading, writing and reasoning through Scripture, theology, exegesis and practical homiletics.
It is open to men and women who meet the following qualifications:
- You display a desire to lead others Spiritually
- You have been a member at Kindred Community Church for at least one year
- You are currently serving at Kindred Community Church
- If married, your spouse is 100% on board, and your home life is in order
- You agree completely with Kindred’s doctrinal statement
- You have displayed characteristics of being faithful, available, and teachable
- You pass an application process
What will be taught?
The Core Ministry Training program consists of three categories of instruction: 1) Contemplation– The study of God, His works, and His doctrine. 2) Clarification – The process of making the meaning of Scripture clear and accessible. 3) Communication – The effective conveying of God’s truth through preaching.
When and where does Core Ministry Training meet?
Each year will consist of two 12-week semesters. Semester one meets from February through April. Semester two meets from August through November. Classes are held Tuesday evenings, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Kindred Community Church offices.
Who are the instructors?
Pastor Charles Vermeulen leads the Core Ministry Training program. In addition, many Kindred elders and pastors will participate in instructing.
What does it cost?
The Core Ministry Training program is free. Kindred Community Church will provide all meals, materials, and textbooks.
