DLC Building Up Seminar

We are looking forward to offering Kindred disciplers, small group leaders, counselors, as well as members, attenders, and friends a seminar this coming Fall to address what the Scriptures have to say about addictions and various ways they manifest themselves in the believer’s life.

Ben's Bio: 

Ben is an ACBC-certified Fellow and served for 15 years as the Counseling Pastor at Canyon Hills Community Church near Seattle, Washington. He holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College, a Doctorate of Educational Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a specialization in addiction and reconcilation counseling. Ben created a counseling ministry in his local church, establishing it as an ACBC-Certified Training Center. Ben also founded two resident addiction recovery facilities—Damascus House for Men in 2015 and the Damascus House for Women in early 2022. His experience and passion for soul care has made him a great fit for his current role as the Executive Director of Freedom That Lasts. In his free time, Ben enjoys fishing and housework/mini-farming. He and his wife Cory have eight children.
