As many of you know, Kindred has a NEW Christmas Tradition… Christmas in September.

As autumn approaches, the Kindred Community Church family has the wonderful opportunity to bless our 20 missionary families who are joyfully offering their whole lives to serve others physically and spiritually around the world. The reality is that many of our missionaries direct the majority of their financial support to the ministry rather than to their personal needs or wants. 

Here is where the Kindred Family and Life Groups can come alongside and make a difference in our missionaries’ Christmas’ this year. Our goal is 3 gifts per family member: each adult missionary is given the option to pick 3 gifts: 2 - $100 gifts and 1 - $150. Children are given the option of 3 - $50. For the Life Groups who support our 3 ministry organizations, they are giving personalized gift baskets to the office staff. 

While many of us are feeling the pinch in our wallets this fall, may the words of Paul encourage our hearts to prayerfully consider more giving, "In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability" (2 Cor 8:2-3).

On ANY SUNDAY in September, stop by the Christmas in September table to:

1) PURCHASE A PERSONAL GIFT: Send a Christmas present to one or more of our missionaries and to the members of their family. A list of requested items for each of our missionary families will be made available at the Christmas in September table. The last day to turn in your gift is September 25th.

2) GIVE FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Christmas in September envelopes and a collection box will be available EVERY SUNDAY in September to make a financial donation. These contributions will help buy gifts and cover any shipping or customs costs. 

3) OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT: Write a personal note of encouragement and say “Merry Christmas” to one or more missionary families. You may bring your own Christmas cards, or a variety of Christmas cards will be made available to you at the Christmas in September table. You may fill out as many as you desire.
