The Compassion in Action [C.I.A.] ministry seeks to glorify our God, not ourselves, through serving specific needs in the body of Christ. This ministry is here to be servants to our Lord first and foremost and in so doing we show our love for Him by helping out our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in need of meals during time of illness, surgery or loss of a job or loved one. This ministry does not substitute for family, friends and shepherd groups but comes along side to fill in the gaps. In addition to meals, we are looking forward to starting a food pantry for our members who also might have a temporary need. We can use anyone willing to prepare a meal and/or pick up and deliver meals. We also have a need for canned goods and staple items that are clearly marked with expiration dates.
Where & When
The timing depends on the need. It can be from only a week to several months, depending on the situation. Meals are usually delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Hot meals are scheduled at a time suitable for the recipient.
