The Compassion in Action (C.I.A.) ministry seeks to minister to those who have a need for meals during times of illness, surgery, loss of a job or loss of a loved one.
This ministry does not substitute for family, friends, shepherd groups and various other ministries at Kindred. Our desire is to come along side, fill in the gaps and help ease their burden. The opportunity to serve the body of Christ at Kindred is a privilege as well as a blessing as it contributes to the needs of the saints.
Where & When
The timing depends on the need. It can be a single meal, to a week, to several months, depending on the situation. Meals are usually delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Hot meals are scheduled at a time suitable for the recipient.
In addition to meals, we provide a food pantry. The food pantry supplies mainly can goods, cereals, rice, pasta etc. It’s open every Sunday and available to all whom may need some extra help.
Donations
We also have a need for canned goods and staple items that have not exceeded clearly marked expiration dates.
