Who are we?
In a day of fast-food spirituality and consumer Christianity where people want to be served, comfortably and at the lowest cost to themselves, we at Kindred Community Church desire an expression of the body of Christ that involves the full and faithful participation of all. To change metaphors, the church was never meant to be a bus with the elders at the driver’s seat, maybe the deacons taking the fares, but everyone else sitting on the bus enjoying the ride. No, the church was meant to be more like an orchestra, everyone playing their part, with the leaders keeping everyone in tune and on time [Ephesians 4:11-16]. Through this web site we hope to satisfy your hunger to know more about the ministries of the church and how you might become more involved both as one who is served and one who serves. Jesus was no consumer, his food was to do the will of God through work assigned to him by the Father [John 4:34]. I hope you will join us in working to make Kindred Community Church a vibrant church, filled with people who come, yes, to get but more importantly to give [Matthew 20:28].
